Christ’s Commandments

Christ’s Commandments are not the means of being spiritual.  Disobeying Christ’s Commandments is the means by which we know we are not spiritual.  We have forgiveness in Christ.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 NASB

The purpose of Christ’s Commandments is to identify what sin is.  Sin is disobeying Christ’s Commandments.

Throughout the New Testament, Christ’s Commandments are taught along with the Spiritual Life.  The Spiritual Life is the source of our new life in Christ.  Learning Christ’s Commandments gives us a means to judge or evaluate our spiritual state.  Obeying Christ’s Commandments is a means by which we are assured we walking in the Spirit and not walking by means of the flesh.

See the sub-page tabs under this page’s tab for information on specific commandments.
